Grieving

Anticipatory Grief:

You may not be aware of it, but you are likely already grieving.  It is very common to be undergoing grief while your pet is still alive, but you are now expecting their loss soon.  This is a natural process called Anticipatory Grief.  This intense time can cause tremendous amounts of anxiety and worry for the pet, how and when the end will happen.  This is real and difficult to endure.  But you are not alone in feeling this.  Planning the ‘where’ and the ‘when’, though difficult, can also help relieve some of that anxiety and allow you to focus on your bond with your pet.  We are here to help.
